The world has to take a smart step to move forward, businesses must continue to function and production must run its course amid the world’s new normal, respecting all Covid 19 protocols.
The Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea, his Excellency Mr. Gabriel MBAGA OBIANG LIMA, has taken the initiative to start the second quarter of 2021 with the execution of a four-day workshop for government officials at the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons (MMH).

With the aim of supporting one of the local content pillars, the workshop was conducted by startup firm founded and led by Equatorial Guinea nationals – “BrainShop Consultoría S.L.”. The focus of the workshop was on: servant
leadership, effective communication skills to create impact, set and achieve goals, and financial management.

The leadership workshop focus was on helping government officials understand what true leadership is, and to appreciate the fact that every leader has blind spots that, when challenged, can help identify areas of improvement and mitigate weaknesses.

Words are powerful; they are a tool that can be used to make a positive impact on self and on other team
members. The communication workshop was to help leaders understand how they could positively
impact the work environment with verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills, in order to
create a healthy and welcoming work environment.

After understanding the the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons’ vision, each leader had to understand their departmental role and comprehend how individual contributions count towards the ultimate goal of the institution.

Leaders understood how to set and achieve professional goals that are in line with the institution’s ultimate goal and contribute to success.

Among the concerns that keep people’s minds off work, money is in category A. Leaders received practical tools to understand and manage their personal budget, with practical strategies on how to cut expenses, increase savings, and get out of debt.
