The opening ceremony of a training course for female officials from southern African countries was held on Monday in Beijing.

The course is themed “Gather the wisdom of Chinese and African women to jointly implement the global development initiative”.

The All-China Women’s Federation and the International Department of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee co-hosted the ceremony.

Shen Yueyue, president of the federation, said that China has always respected and supported African countries in their efforts to explore development paths suited to them and will work with them to find more ways for humanity to achieve modernization.

Mabel M. Chinomona, president of the Senate of Zimbabwe, said that China’s experience is exemplary not only for Africa but also for the world.
