Preparations for the 2021 edition of the TEG Campus, the biggest youth and tech event in Africa, which starts from July 22– 27, have entered its finals stages. Into its fourth edition, TEG Campus continues to grow and get better every edition with new initiatives, keynote speakers, events, activities and its hackathon event.

The event will take place from July 22 to 27 in the cities of Malabo and Bata, in Equatorial Guinea. Anna Ekeledo, Executive Director of AfriLabs,  will be speaking at the opening panel.

Ahead of the event, registered participants will receive onboarding on how to best use the tools in the lab zone. They will also be divided into different stages based on the proposed solutions and will have mentors/coaches, to guide them through, all in an enabling environment.

The objective of the event is to promote emerging technologies in Africa, while educating and raising awareness of their issues and uses. An event dedicated to the youth, which wants to bring African solutions to the challenges of the continent and it is organized by Gestor de Infrastructuras de Telecomunicaciones de Guinea Ecuatorial (GITGE),

In this sense, the event hosts the largest hackathon in Africa on the following topics:

Organised by the Gestor de Infraestructuras de Telecomunicaciones de Guinea Ecuatorial (GITGE), the hackathon is focused on the development and/or improvement of tools related to the different themes above. While this event is open to adults, minors who wish to participate must submit a consent form from their parents or legal guardians in order to participate. Groups registering for it must have a minimum of two members and a maximum of five, and the competition will take place online; conducted in both English and Spanish.
