Ghana is expanding the ways businesses can access growth capital as Propartners Exchange Limited prepares to officially launch Impact Note 1 Tranche 1, a new investment crowdfunding opportunity focused on financing selected Ghanaian small and medium-sized enterprises.
The campaign will officially open on October 1, 2026, during a special bell-ringing ceremony in Accra, marking the first tranche under Propartners’ Impact Note 1 Medium-Term Note Programme. The initiative brings together a regulated crowdfunding platform, investors and Ghanaian businesses through a structured investment framework.
Impact Note 1 is structured through PCS PLC, a special purpose vehicle established to raise capital from eligible investors for deployment into a portfolio of selected and pre-qualified Ghanaian SMEs. The model is designed to provide businesses with an alternative source of growth financing while giving eligible investors access to structured private-sector investment opportunities.

The inaugural tranche has a campaign target of GHS 2.4 million. The notes are structured as three-year unsecured floating-rate notes linked to the 365-day Bank of Ghana Treasury Bill rate, with margins of 350 basis points for senior Noteholders and 700 basis points for other Noteholders. Interest is scheduled to be paid semi-annually, while principal is expected to be repaid at maturity.
The funds raised through the campaign are expected to support two Ghanaian SMEs: Volta Greens Limited Company and Yes Chef Company Limited. According to Propartners, the businesses were selected following an assessment process covering areas including operations, financial capacity, repayment ability, management, governance and credit risk.
The transaction brings together four institutions with distinct responsibilities. Propartners Exchange Limited is serving as the lead transaction party and licensed crowdfunding intermediary, responsible for originating, structuring and facilitating the campaign. First National Bank Ghana Limited is acting as note trustee for Noteholders, while Zenith Bank Ghana Limited is serving as custodian and escrow banking partner. Fincap Securities Limited is supporting the transaction as financial adviser.
The campaign is scheduled to run from October 1 through November 30, 2026. Eligible investors will be able to review the investment information and participate through the Propartners crowdfunding platform, subject to applicable eligibility, onboarding and subscription requirements.
The opportunity is intended for both retail and institutional investors who meet the relevant requirements. Propartners notes that investments in securities and SME credit involve risk and that returns are not guaranteed, encouraging prospective investors to review the offer documents, risk disclosures, terms and conditions before making investment decisions.
The October 1 bell-ringing ceremony is expected to bring together representatives from the participating financial institutions, investors, regulators, business leaders and SME stakeholders. Beyond formally opening the campaign, the event will provide an opportunity to discuss the structure of Impact Note 1, the participating businesses and the potential role of regulated crowdfunding in mobilizing capital for Ghanaian enterprises.
The initiative comes as digital platforms continue to create new possibilities for participation in financial markets. For Ghanaian SMEs, access to appropriately structured capital can support expansion, investment and productive economic activity, while investors can gain access to opportunities connected to the country’s private sector.
Propartners Chief Executive Officer Wisdom Anku said the programme reflects the company’s effort to make private capital more accessible to productive businesses while developing structured opportunities for investors.
“We believe the future of finance will be increasingly digital, inclusive and structured,” Anku said, adding that the company aims to build the infrastructure, governance and investor confidence needed to support that development. With Impact Note 1, Ghana’s crowdfunding market is gaining another structured mechanism for connecting investment capital with local businesses. The launch places SME financing, digital investment infrastructure and private-sector participation at the center of a
