Attah Samson Igoche: Africa is a rapidly growing continent with increasing access to IT and advancement in innovations that solve some of the known local challenges in the continent. Recently there has been this shift in interest by founders to build for the African continent while scaling globally and solving local challenges such as access to education, finance, hunger, security, etc., using technology. As an African-centric organisation Aiivon has supported startups to access diverse growth and financial opportunities needed to scale beyond their local environments and this has been achieved across sectors such as agritech, fintech, edutech, etc., through research, training, and partnerships as well as well organised incubation, and acceleration programs that prepare startups for investment and global opportunities to scale. Aiivon also offers professional consultation and mentorship access to early-stage startup founders who require guidance to build in the current global economic realities.

Recently, Aiivon successfully executed The Nest Project, funded by AfriLabs, enhancing stakeholder engagement skills for over 200 entrepreneurs. Focused on the tech ecosystem in Northern Nigeria, Aiivon’s ongoing Startup Forum initiative champions region-centric solutions. The project’s initial phase educated founders on the power of storytelling for investor attraction, now progressing to phase two—sharing these narratives across platforms. However, there is still a lot that needs to be done in this regard. Some of the initiatives currently being executed by Aiivon to support digital inclusion include our physical infrastructure which includes conducive co-creative workspaces that encourage innovation and collaboration, intensive stakeholder collaboration and community outreach that fosters partnerships with government agencies, and other local and international communities, capacity development through training and incubation/acceleration programs that trains and supports both individuals and startups to access the required skills and knowledge needed to scale beyond their current levels.
