As it continues to promote and empowerHR professionals and leaders across the continent by hosting its monthly Pan-African HR webinars, the Africa HR Forumhosted a dynamic 9th session of its HR Insights Series. This inclusive, accessible and vitalizing session was a hybrid event, with the hosting of presential viewing rooms by Marathon Oil in Equatorial Guinea. The presentialviewing session of the 9th HR Insights Series washosted and coordinated byMarathon Oil and its HR Director, Mr. Francisco Javierand was attended by HR professionals and practitioners in Equatorial Guinea’s Oil & Gas sector, specifically from Marathon Oil, EG LNG and AMPCO.
This interactive and highly animated HR Insights Series session was moderated by the distinguished Mrs. Esther Letlapeand. Our Speaker was the accomplished Ms. Daily Ramasia, who is a seasoned Executive with 20 years professional working experience and 1 year as a Group HR Executive in delivering business, human capital and total rewards value adding products and services.
During the 9thsession of the HR Insights Series, Ms. Ramasia discussed the topic “How to adapt your total rewards strategies and programs into the new world of work” and in doing so highlighted key strategies for leaders and organizations to take on board when adjusting their reward strategy in response to the changes in the world of work.
The session saw active participation by professionals from all 5 regions of the continent, with members of the virtual and physical audience posing pertinent questions and sharing their opinions and experiences during the question & answer and discussion segments.
The Africa HR Forum collaborates with its Partners, which include the Government of Equatorial Guinea – The Ministries of Labour and of Public Function, the African HR Confederation, the Institute of People Management South Africa, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria, the African Association for Public Administration & Management, The Institute of People Management Zimbabwe, the Association of Elite HR Professionals,to establish this pan-African event across the African continent and to promote critical and innovative thinking as pertains to the world of work.
The significance and impact of the HR Insights Seriesis further emphasized due to the demand, as well as the evidence fromdata collected from the participants’ survey, which is solid proof of the importance of this platform for HR practitioners and leaders to unite and share practical knowledge and experiences which can be applied for better HR practice in their respective professional milieus.
