U.S. Department of State changes Equatorial Guinea alert level for COVID- 19 from level 4 to level 3

Equatorial Guinea is positioned at the alert level for Covid -19 from level 4 to level 3 according to the information updated on August 6th by the United States Department of State.

U.S. Department of State changes Equatorial Guinea alert level for COVID- 19 from level 4 to level 3

The U.S. Department of State has on the 6th of August published an update of the covid-19 alert level on its website where it ranks Equatorial Guinea at level 3.

Equatorial Guinea, which was previously ranked at level 4, has improved its COVID-19 management that has earned its level 3 by the U.S. Department of State.

Recently the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare published at a press conference  presented by the vice Minister of Health and Social Goods Mithoa Ondo’o Ayecaba the data of COVID-19 in Equatorial Guinea as of July 28 highlighting a total of 4,821 positive cases throughout the country.

The Government of Equatorial Guinea sanctioned Decree no.54/2020 by which the entry of the second phase of the relaxation of the State of Health Alarm was agreed.
