Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr Sacked By NFF Despite Qualifying For The AFCON

After months of immense pressure German Tactician Gernot Rohr has been sacked after a virtual meeting by the executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation.

The decision taken at the meeting means Gernot Rohr will not lead the squad to AFCON in Cameroon and the German tactician has revealed that his lawyers are working already on the whole situation.

In his place, the football federation appointed Augustine Eguavoen, currently the Technical Director, as the interim coach.

Eguaveon, a former head coach of the Super Eagles will now take charge of the team as it begins preparations for the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2022.
