Equatorial Guinea: Dreams Hub Graduates Second Cohort of its Massive Digital Education Program

Saturday, June 19th 2021, marked the second Certification ceremony for scholars of the Dreams Hub Massive Digital Education Program (MDEP), held at the Dreams Hub research and innovation centre (Afrilabs member), Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The Massive Digital Education Program is for young people, who receive FREE training on information technology, a Dreams Hub solution, under the hashtag #BuildingResilience; to support the efforts of other actors for the same cause of building the country’s innovative ecosystem.

“We have received about 200 applications, of which 33 young people were selected in February to participate in the online training courses offered through our self-learning platform AUTOCLAX. Among them, 24; 13 men and 11 women have been the young people who successfully managed to finish their respective courses, within the stipulated period of three months (90 days). Mª del Amor Nchaso, Executive Secretary of the centre said.

This second cohort courses ranged from Accounting, Web Design, Project Management, Quality of Attention and Customer Service, Computer Security, Office 365, Receptionist, Environmental Awareness, JavaScript and PHP web application, Windows Server 2012, Marketing, Web design with HTML and CSS, Advanced Photoshop, JavaScript web page programming and ASP NET 3.5.

Dreams Hub scholarship recipients are part, not only of the AUTOCLAX course program, but can also benefit from the hub’s contacts and partners for collaborations, internship placements and mentoring for their innovative ideas and/or projects.
