Senegal: CRL Dakar Organizes the Second Annual YALI Alumni Network Presidents’ Meeting

 

The second annual meeting of alumni network presidents organized by the West Africa Regional Leadership Center – YALI Dakar has officially begun. The event is taking place from October 1 to 3, 2024, at the CESAG campus in Dakar, Senegal. It brings together representatives from the alumni networks of the 25 countries covered by the YALI program, with the goal of strengthening leadership and promoting regional collaboration.

The opening of the meeting was marked by institutional remarks, including the welcoming address from the YALI RLC Chief of Party, Bara NDIAYE, an address from USAID representative, Sala BA. Following these, leadership and networking workshops were held, aimed at improving the organizational capacities of the participants and encouraging the exchange of experiences between the different countries.

The event focuses on a workshop for institutional and organizational alignment, covering key topics such as community development, transparency, good governance, and organizational management of associations. Additionally, it seeks to re-mobilize alumni in each country and renew collaborative foundations for co-creating high-impact activities in their respective communities.
