Spain: The National Police School hosts the first edition of C1b3rwoman

The Ávila City Council has welcomed C1b3rwoman 2023 and has invited the participants to a tour of the walled city

This weekend marks the first edition of C1b3rw0man , a meeting dedicated to highlighting the skills of women in cybersecurity. The meeting is organized by the  SOS en Red observatory , an entity sensitive to cybersecurity and the situation of victims, which works to achieve an aware, committed and participatory society in the search for solutions to cyberviolence.

The opening was led by Carmen García , president of the SOS en Red observatory; José Luis Tejedor , director of the National Police School; Casimiro Nevado , chief inspector; Laura Giménez , vice president of SOS en Red; Fernando Mairata , expert expert in new technologies; and Jesús Manuel Sánchez Cabrera , mayor of Ávila. 

For the first edition, 30 women committed to cybersecurity, computer science and telecommunications students, and professionals with roles in corporate cybersecurity departments have been chosen. The meeting, which takes place over three days, has expert speakers and mentors who will focus on the most important skills for cybersecurity. 70 students from the National Police School will also participate.
