Nairobi is gathing ready to host the AfriLabs Annual Gathering (AAG), a key event for innovation stakeholders in Africa, from October 7-9, 2025. Under the theme “Africa’s Innovation Future: Policy, Partnerships, and Progress,” the gathering will bring together innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to discuss the continent’s technological and business future.

AAG 2024, held in Cape Town, South Africa, marked a milestone by bringing together a wide range of participants who shared perspectives on how innovation can drive economic development in Africa. This year, AAG 2025 promises to delve deeper into issues such as public policies to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and the creation of strategic alliances between local and international players.

Nairobi, recognized for its growing startup ecosystem and role in digital transformation, has been chosen as the host city due to its potential to continue driving innovation in the region. With its technological infrastructure and an environment conducive to entrepreneurship, the city reflects the dynamism that characterizes Africa in terms of innovation.

The AAG 2025 agenda will include panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions covering crucial topics for advancing innovation in Africa, from designing inclusive public policies to collaboration between entrepreneurs and investors. This space will allow for the exchange of ideas on how emerging technologies can contribute to the continent’s sustainable development.
