Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima appointed as Governor of Equatorial Guinea to the World Bank

He has served in the oil and gas sector, also served as Government Representative in the Equity of the State in the Products Sharing Contracts (PSCs) and further functioned as Presidential Advisor for Hydrocarbons.

Decree number 53/2023, dated 14 February, appointing His Excellency Mr Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Planning and Economic Diversification, as Governor to the World Bank Group.

In consideration of the circumstances that concur in relation to his appointment and in use of the powers conferred on me by Article 41, paragraph H of the Fundamental Law of the State, I hereby appoint His Excellency Mr. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Planning and Economic Diversification, Governor to the World Bank Group.

I hereby decree it, given in Malabo on the 14th day of the month of February of the year 2023.
