South Africa COVID-19: Confirmed cases in SA jump to 11 350 on Tuesday

This is an increase of 698, as the total number of confirmed cases stood at 10 652 on Monday 11 May

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize, on Tuesday 12 May, announced that the confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa have risen to 11 350.

Mkhize did not announce an updated death toll on Tuesday which means that for now, the death toll remains at 206.

A total of 369 697 tests have been conducted to date with 13 630 tests done in the last 24 hours. Mkhize announced that there had been 4 357 recoveries thus far.

The Western Cape is still the COVID-19 epicentre with the most positive cases in the country.
