Several international schools in Spain, including the Lycée français Molière in Zaragoza, have closed their doors following bomb threats. At least 18 schools across the country received emails warning of explosives on their premises. Police are actively investigating the threats, affecting institutions in Zaragoza, Tarragona, Pontevedra, and other provinces.

The Lycée français Molière in Zaragoza received an email claiming the placement of explosives inside the school. The threat extended to 17 other international education centers across the peninsula and the Canary Islands.
The National Police and the French Embassy advised immediate class suspension, with subsequent notifications to parents confirming the closure.
Security measures included a thorough inspection by police experts and anti-explosion dogs, ensuring safety. While authorities have not disclosed specific reasons for the threats, parents speculate it could be an act of hooliganism.

Additional affected schools in Zaragoza include the English School of Movera, the British School of Aragón, and the Zaragoza School House. In Catalonia, Mossos d’Esquadra labeled the threats as a “false alarm” and confirmed no evidence to warrant closures. Earlier in December, the French Lyceum in Palma and El Campello also faced bomb threats.
