From November 10 to 13, 2025, the Africa Tech Festival returns to Cape Town as the largest and most anticipated technology event on the continent. Over the course of four days, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) will become the epicenter of digital innovation, gathering more than 15,000 professionals, business leaders, investors, and tech experts from around the world.

This annual event, which continues to establish itself as the key platform to discuss Africa’s digital future, will feature prominent figures from the tech sector and interactive sessions on digital transformation, telecommunications, fintech, healthcare innovation, and cutting-edge connectivity. In addition, flagship events such as AfricaCom and AfricaTech will provide spaces to explore the latest trends and tech solutions driving economic and social development across the continent.

However, it is important to clarify that the Africa Tech Festival should not be confused with AfriLabs. While the festival is a large-scale annual event focused on networking and showcasing high-impact technological innovations, AfriLabs is a pan-African network of innovation hubs that works continuously to strengthen local tech ecosystems. With over 400 hubs across 52 countries, AfriLabs fosters entrepreneurship and training at the community level throughout the year.

Although both contribute to technological advancement in Africa, their approaches are distinctly different. While the Africa Tech Festival facilitates the exchange of knowledge and the creation of strategic partnerships on an international level, AfriLabs empowers local talent from the grassroots, providing resources and direct support to African entrepreneurs.
