Atalia Modesta BAHA has held the position of General Director of the Press and Image Office of the Vice
President of Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Teodoro Nguema OBIANG MANGUE until her recent appointment, a position she has been holding since 2018.

With a professional career that begins after studying Political Science at the National University of

The young vice minister has always linked her professional career to the world of Information and
Communication, having worked in the main channels in the country such as TVGE and ASONGA, where
she made several programs as a presenter, highlighting the creation and presentation of the REPORTERS
program.
Between 2015-2016, she presented the stellar newscast of the TVGE news services at 9:00 p.m., after
which she was appointed as a press attaché of the embassy of Equatorial Guinea in the People’s
Republic of China.
During her time at the People’s Republic of China she created the first magazine of the Equatorial
Guinea embassy in that country, promoting the embassy’s communication with the resident
Equatoguinean community and other organizations.

As Director of the Press and Image Office of the Vice President of the Republic, she promoted the
communication of the institutional activities of the Vice President with the creation of the magazine “La
Vice-Press”, the website and various interactions on social networks.

Her new responsibility as Vice Minister of Information, Press and Radio is another challenge in her
professional career, in a sector she knows well and has always been linked with.
