Food commodities, public transport, social housing, Upper Egypt development and supplying homes with natural gas were all subsidized with LE115.1 billion.
The government will continue to provide for initiatives in favor of low-income Egyptians, such as 100 Million Healthy Lives, allocating proper housing units for the ihabitants of slums and hazardous areas, and giving discounts on certain supplies and commodities and bigger discounts for those who have ration cars. Such discounts amounted to LE12.25 billion paid from the the state budget.
