Equatorial Guinea joined the global celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024 with a series of impactful events designed to inspire, empower, and connect entrepreneurs and young leaders. The activities, held from November 22 to November 30, showcased the collaborative efforts of local and international organizations, including the U.S. Embassy in Malabo, YALI Equatorial Guinea, the French Cultural Institute, and other partners committed to fostering entrepreneurship in the region.

Key highlights included the SESVA Workshop on Social Entrepreneurship, which inspired participants to explore impactful and sustainable ventures. Participants engaged in a hands-on workshop on creating a social enterprise while reinforcing their commitment to social impact.

Transformational Leadership Workshop

Organized by Dreams Hub (AfriLabs Member) in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy and the YALI Association, this workshop focused on equipping participants with tools to lead change in their communities. Attendees explored concepts such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, effective communication and practical leadership strategies for transformative impact.

Artistic Entrepreneurship Workshop

📅 November 25, 6:30 PM
This workshop brought together aspiring artists and entrepreneurs to explore how passion for art can translate into sustainable businesses. With expert-led discussions and networking opportunities, the event, co-organized by Mosart, Dreams Hub, SESVA, Ozuru Next and the U.S. Embassy, empowered participants to turn their creativity into profitable ventures.

Grand Finale: Entrepreneurship Panel and Expo

The week culminated with a dynamic panel discussion and an engaging expo featuring over 20 local vendors showcasing innovative products and services. Panelists from different organizations representing the ecosystem, shared insights on entrepreneurial journeys, while participants networked and exchanged ideas.
