Companies from Equatorial Guinea, representing diverse sectors of the economy, are participating in the 29th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), held from October 16 to 19, 2024, at the prestigious Venetian Macao Cotai Expo.

This international event, known for fostering cooperation between global businesses, serves as an ideal platform for Equatorial Guinean companies to showcase their products and services to an international audience in the Lusophone Countries Exhibition Zone.

Images received by our editorial team highlight the presence of Fernando Hermes Vegas Moiché, Vice President of the Equatorial Guinea Business Consortium, along with representatives from various sectors including business consultancy, technology, cosmetics, and business services.

Among the participating companies are ALOGO COSMETICS, specializing in cosmetic products and represented by its founder, lawyer Dionisia Alogo; JOB SERVICIOS, a comprehensive services company represented by Modesta Obono; XAPIENS HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, and ALOMACARE, a medical facilitator from Equatorial Guinea focused on personal care and health products, both represented by co-founder Concepción Nchaso Bekari.

In addition to the business presence, the cultural and artistic participation at the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) is also notable. Recognized figures, such as the renowned rapper Negro Bey, to showcased the rich cultural heritage of Equatorial Guinea, adding a vibrant dimension to the event. This  highlights the importance of cultural exchange and creativity, allowing the audience to experience the artistic talents from Equatorial Guinea while fostering connections between the cultural and business sectors. This blend of business and culture at MIF not only enhances the visibility of Equatorial Guinea but also promotes its diverse talents on a global stage.

During the fair, Equatorial Guinean companies not only present their products and services but also take advantage of networking and business matchmaking opportunities offered by MIF. These activities are essential for entering new markets and forming strategic alliances with companies in the Asian region and beyond.

Fernando Hermes Vegas Moiché expressed his enthusiasm for Equatorial Guinea’s participation: “The presence of our companies in Macao represents a crucial step in expanding our international operations. We are here to showcase the potential of Equatorial Guinean products and services in such a dynamic market as Asia. Moreover, as entrepreneurship is a continuous learning journey, we are here to learn from one another. For the 2025 edition, I recommend a massive participation from Equatorial Guinea’s private sector. Competing in such a vast market as the Lusophone region requires not only a strong presence but also high-quality products and services to remain competitive in the international market.”
