On Friday, December 27, 2024, the Libreville Chamber of Commerce hosted the official launch of GABON MINDSET, an ambitious non-governmental organization (NGO) bringing together entrepreneurs, educators, and parents driven by a shared ideal: to positively transform societal mindsets in Gabon. The organization aims to contribute to building a civic-minded society driven by positive values and freed from limiting behaviors. The initiative is rooted in a profound realization: transforming Gabon requires more than overcoming structural barriers; it necessitates a deep cultural shift in attitudes.

To achieve its goals, GABON MINDSET embraces an open and collaborative approach focused on creating synergies among various committed actors. Through conferences, sector-specific workshops, studies, and report publications, the NGO aims to provide a precise assessment of current behaviors and the challenges ahead. Additionally, the organization has identified seven strategic areas to guide its actions: education, training, entrepreneurship, social engagement, advocacy, rituals, arts and culture, and the economy.

GABON MINDSET: A New Movement to Transform Mindsets in Gabon

The core values of GABON MINDSET serve as pillars for its mission: encouraging people to think and act differently, seeing opportunities in challenges, fostering a sense of belonging and patriotism, adopting a positive mindset under any circumstances, and striving for excellence in both small and large actions.

The NGO’s activities revolve around three main missions:

  1. Inspiration – Highlighting positive role models within Gabonese society.
  2. Innovation – Using modern tools and innovative approaches to provoke a mindset change.
  3. Impact – Conducting concrete initiatives and measuring their effectiveness in the field.

To ensure the implementation of its projects, GABON MINDSET is structured around a solid framework, including a General Assembly, an Executive Committee, a Board of Directors, and thematic cells dedicated to its various areas of action.

In a context ripe for transformation, GABON MINDSET aims to seize the opportunity to address current limitations. “Liberation alone is not enough; we need a mindset shift to truly transform Gabon,” emphasized one of the founding members.

During the launch event, LETZOUMOU Dieudonné, the General Coordinator of GABON MINDSET, stated: “We firmly believe that every Gabonese citizen can become an agent of change. Through our actions, we want to provide tools and perspectives that will unlock the potential of our society.”

GABON MINDSET invites all individuals willing to make an effort to positively change their mindset to join this movement. By fostering joint initiatives and strategic collaborations, the NGO aims to drive a collective dynamic that will benefit Gabonese society as a whole.

The launch of GABON MINDSET marks the beginning of an ambitious journey, calling on every Gabonese citizen to become an active agent of transformation.
