The Government of Seychelles has appointed Camila Estico as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Investment Board (SIB), bringing an internationally focused investment and tourism professional into the leadership of the agency responsible for promoting and facilitating investment in the island nation.

The appointment was announced by the Office of the President and takes effect on October 1, 2026. Estico brings professional experience spanning Europe, the United States and Seychelles, with a career covering investment promotion and facilitation, business development, luxury tourism and real estate, sales, strategic communications and international stakeholder engagement.

Africa’s Mining Future Depends on More Than Power as Water and Infrastructure Rise

Estico has served since April 2026 as Tourism and Investment Attaché for the Government of Seychelles. In that role, she has represented Seychelles in Europe and worked with international investors, businesses, institutions and strategic partners to identify and develop foreign direct investment opportunities.

Her responsibilities have included facilitating investment in sectors identified as priorities for Seychelles, including tourism, the blue economy, fisheries, financial services, yachting and marine-related activities. Her new position at the Seychelles Investment Board places that experience at the center of the country’s investment promotion efforts.

Before joining the Government of Seychelles, Estico built an international career in business development, sales, real estate and public relations. In France, she worked as a Sales Executive with Caudwell in Antibes, contributing to the Le Provençal luxury residence development. She also worked with RealAdvisor in Geneva, where she managed business activities focused initially on the Spanish market and later the United States.

Her professional experience also includes strategic communications linked to tourism. As an International PR Executive with MC Group P.R & Advertising Agency in Berlin, Germany, Estico worked on tourism-related communications and contributed to proposals prepared for the Seychelles Tourism Board.

Earlier in her career, she served as a Brand Tourism Ambassador for Seychelles, working alongside the Seychelles Tourism Board’s marketing department and representing the country at international tourism trade fairs and other engagements.

Her international background is complemented by academic training in communications. Estico holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Communications from EU Business School Barcelona/Geneva and is proficient in Kreol, English, Spanish and French.

Her appointment comes as Seychelles continues to position investment, tourism and the blue economy as important components of its economic development strategy. Through the Seychelles Investment Board, the country works to attract investment, support investors and facilitate opportunities across key sectors of the economy.

With experience connecting Seychelles to international markets and stakeholders, Estico will take on the leadership of the investment board with a professional background that combines investment facilitation, tourism promotion, business development and international communications. The appointment is effective from October 1, 2026.
