Ela Nguema, June 19, 2025 — In a joint effort to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Equatorial Guinea, Dreams Hub convened a meeting on June 18, bringing together key actors from across the ecosystem. The event featured prominent participation from the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Benjamín Mitogo Bielo, the Director General of Youth, Sesé Sité, and representative from UNDP, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to fostering an innovative and collaborative future.

Convened by Dreams Hub’s founder and Executive Director, Oscar Nchaso, participants analyzed both the challenges and opportunities facing the ecosystem. They discussed how platfroms like Dreams Hub, LPC, AhoraEG, Ilende & Partners, ASTA Academy, ARISE, IDENTIC, Koia, SESVA, and other initiatives across the ecosystem provide platforms for support, visibility, and connection for entrepreneurs. Key issues highlighted included the need for improved coordination, continuous training in leadership, innovation, digitalization, business and project management, limited access to adapted financing, and the importance of strengthening the regulatory framework to better support entrepreneurship. The participants also emphasized the need to foster a strong entrepreneurial culture that drives creativity and innovation.

One of the key points was the proposal to create a common platform to facilitate collaboration and the exchange of opportunities. As an example, the GE-LANZA platform was presented by Dreams Hub, inviting joint efforts to showcase opportunities such as the current Acceleration Project for the Development of Environmental Technologies and Innovations, led by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) and Dreams Hub, which seeks to empower women and youth leadership in the Congo Basin. “There are so many initiatives and opportunities within all our institutions that need common ground,” Nchaso shared.
