The Equatoguinean digital newspaper AhoraEG, the leading news platform in Equatorial Guinea, and the international outlet Africanian News have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at producing joint content focused on development and current affairs across the African continent. The signing ceremony took place at Dreams Hub, a technology innovation center based in Malabo.

Algeria: in 2024, non-oil GDP grew by 4.8%

The agreement, signed by Alejandra Jezabel Nchama, Director General of AhoraEG, and Oscar Andrés Nchaso Bekari, Founder and CEO of Africanian News, outlines areas of joint work in strategic communication, youth training, and the dissemination of impactful stories from Africa and its diaspora. Both media outlets will collaborate on editorial production, coverage of key events, and the organization of training workshops.

Equatorial Guinea: AhoraEG and Africanian News join forces to amplify Africa’s voice worldwide

AhoraEG is widely recognized as the leading local digital media outlet in Equatorial Guinea, with a strong national following. Africanian News, meanwhile, is a project from Dreams Hub (member of AfriLabs) —the largest network of innovation hubs in Africa—and maintains partnerships with global media organizations, including China’s CGTN, giving it a broad international reach and a strong presence in global storytelling about Africa. The partnership also includes plans to co-develop campaigns around sustainable development and promote initiatives that help shape constructive narratives about the continent.

In the Equatoguinean context, the agreement could create new training opportunities for young people interested in digital communication, journalism, and entrepreneurship. It may also help raise the visibility of local projects through exposure in regional and international media.

Through this alliance, AhoraEG and Africanian News aim to establish a framework for cooperation that expands their impact on the production and dissemination of African content, with a focus on collaboration and strengthening media networks.
