African entrepreneurs and diaspora-led startups have an exciting new opportunity to accelerate their businesses and gain international visibility. The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and OCP Group – UM6P have launched the Jump Shot: The NBPA x UM6P Innovation Challenge, an initiative aimed at fostering innovation and business growth in Africa.

Jump Shot is more than just a competition—it’s a gateway for high-potential startups to gain industry exposure, receive strategic mentorship, and establish connections with key investors. This initiative is designed to empower entrepreneurs working on groundbreaking solutions that drive inclusive growth across the continent.

Applying for Jump Shot: The NBPA x UM6P Innovation Challenge is a unique opportunity for African entrepreneurs and diaspora-led startups looking to elevate their businesses. The challenge provides an unparalleled platform to showcase innovative solutions to key decision-makers, investors, and corporate partners eager to support high-potential ventures.

Beyond visibility, selected startups will gain access to essential resources, expert mentorship, and funding opportunities designed to help refine and scale their business models. Participants will also have the chance to build strategic connections with the African diaspora, fostering collaborations that can open new pathways for growth and expansion.

The challenge is open to African startups and those led by members of the diaspora, particularly those focused on social entrepreneurship, impact investing, and inclusive growth across the continent. Eligible applicants must be operating in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, or Senegal.
