Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) and Google Cloud have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing safety and security technologies through innovative cloud solutions. This multi-year agreement will leverage Google Cloud’s infrastructure to drive the development of assistive intelligence, including enhanced video content delivery, mapping, and AI capabilities, to address real-world safety challenges.

Mahesh Saptharishi, executive vice president and chief technology officer of Motorola Solutions, emphasized the importance of leveraging sensors, data, and AI to create a safer future. He stated, “Our collaboration with Google Cloud will empower us to make safety and security more accessible and actionable for our customers, ranging from communities to businesses.”

The partnership will enable Motorola Solutions to integrate the newly developed capabilities into its cloud security solutions, including Avigilon Alta, a cloud-native video suite designed to provide enterprise security for organizations of all sizes.

According to Saptharishi, real-time visibility and awareness are crucial for enhancing public safety and enterprise security outcomes. The collaboration aims to enable better protection for schools, businesses, and large-scale events by leveraging cloud-based technologies.
