Marrakech, Morocco – The 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, a beacon of African artistic expression, once again mesmerized art aficionados and collectors alike. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Mamounia Hotel, this year’s edition witnessed a groundbreaking expansion with the inclusion of DADA, a dynamic multidisciplinary art space currently undergoing renovation.

At booth 16, The African Art Hub (TAAH) curated a spellbinding exhibition masterminded by Project Manager and Curator, Pratiti Shah. The showcase, adorned with exquisite artworks, captivated visitors, showcasing the diverse talents fostered by TAAH.

A standout feature of the fair was the spotlight on the works of Sheila Fuseini from Ghana and Gbemileke Adekunle from Nigeria. Their pieces, steeped in narrative richness, prompted introspection, inviting viewers to delve into the nuances of African artistic expression.

TAAH’s exhibition garnered significant attention, underscoring the growing demand for diverse narratives and representations within the global art sphere. This resounding success reaffirms TAAH’s pivotal role in promoting emerging African artists and amplifying their voices on the global stage.

An exclusive honor for TAAH was the esteemed presence of VIP guests, including His Excellency Jerónimo Nsue Asumu Nchama, Vice Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Craft Promotion of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, accompanied by his assistant, Dolindo Salvador Ndong Owono, and Her Excellency Mrs. Dorotea Anita Roca, Senator of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. Their visit underscored the event’s significance, fostering dialogue and collaboration in the realm of contemporary art.
