Gaborone, Botswana – The highly anticipated U.S.-Africa Business Summit, themed “Enhancing Africa’s Value in Global Value Chains,” will take place from July 11-14, 2023. Hosted by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in collaboration with the Government of Botswana, the Summit aims to strengthen trade, investment, and commercial connections between the United States and Africa, as both regions recover from unprecedented health and economic challenges.

Anticipated to attract over 1,000 attendees, including private sector executives, international investors, senior government officials, and multilateral stakeholders, the U.S.-Africa Business Summit is renowned as the largest and most influential conference on doing business and investing in Africa. Through sector-focused high-level dialogues, thought leadership sessions, and country forums, the event aims to facilitate meaningful connections between government and private sector decision-makers, offering valuable insights for organizational growth.

The Summit will feature thought-provoking discussions led by African heads of state, senior U.S. government officials, and CEOs of prominent U.S. and African companies. These dialogues will address current business challenges, focusing on sectors such as creative industries, energy transition and climate, financing, SMEs, and the roles of youth and women in U.S.-Africa commerce.

Dedicated sessions on doing business in Africa will provide opportunities for interaction with high-level government officials and business leaders from countries offering promising investment prospects. Furthermore, the Summit will provide updates on available financing options from the U.S. government, institutional investors, and banks from both the U.S. and Africa. The aim is to equip participants with the knowledge and resources necessary to navigate the financing landscape and pursue viable investment opportunities. Networking will be a key aspect of the event, encouraging participants to exchange business cards and foster ongoing conversations for future collaborations.
