Equatorial Guinea: Dreams Hub integrate Spanish into AfriLabs’ Central Africa Hubs Programme, sponsoring five Dexway-certified beginner courses to boost regional inclusion.
Under the leadership of AfriLabs and within the framework of the Central Africa Hubs Capacity Strengthening Programme – 2025 Edition, Dreams Hub has spearheaded a milestone initiative that reinforces regional integration and the recognition of Equatorial Guinea’s cultural uniqueness: the official inclusion of Spanish in the programme’s training activities, along with the sponsorship of five beginner-level courses with official Dexway certification.
The programme is driven by AfriLabs, implemented by the Société d’Incubation Numérique du Gabon (SING) and the Centre d’Innovation de Lubumbashi (CINOLU – DRC), and supported by partners such as Enabel, Ukamili, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). According to the organisers, this initiative reflects “the spirit of regional inclusion” and highlights the linguistic and cultural richness of Central Africa.

A Milestone for Language Inclusion in African Innovation
In the words of Oscar Nchaso, Founder and Executive Director of Dreams Hub, and AfriLabs Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, this will mark the beginning of a cultural integration initiative:
“Within the framework of the hubs capacity strengthening programme, and placing special emphasis on regional inclusion, I would like to stress that, with Spanish being one of the official languages of the African Union and Equatorial Guinea the only Spanish-speaking country on the continent — particularly in Central Africa — we believe it is essential, at Dreams Hub, to integrate this aspect into our exchanges. As a concrete first step, we have decided to sponsor five beginner-level Spanish courses through our online platform AUTOCLAX.com with Dexway certification. These courses will be available to hubs represented in the other five Central African countries, excluding Equatorial Guinea, with the aim of expanding reach and mutual understanding in the region.”
Impact Across Central Africa
With this integration, Spanish— the official language of Equatorial Guinea and one of the most spoken languages globally — will now be part of a technological and innovation training programme that has traditionally operated in French and English. This inclusion will open doors for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs, innovators, and hub members to access high-quality learning and certification opportunities, strengthening cross-border cooperation and skills development across Central Africa.
This achievement marks an important step towards linguistic inclusion in African innovation programmes, while also recognising the unique contribution of Equatorial Guinea to the region’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.
