At the world’s leading tourism fair in Madrid, Dreams Hub spotlighted how culture, art and sustainable entrepreneurship from Equatorial Guinea can shape a future driven by identity and purpose

Amid the vast halls of FITUR, where nations compete to define the future of global tourism, Equatorial Guinea presented a quieter but compelling narrative: one driven not only by destinations, but by ideas, values and creative purpose.

That story was carried by Dreams Hub, a growing platform dedicated to entrepreneurship, culture and social impact. Its presence at the fair underscored how creativity can function as both economic engine and cultural diplomacy for the country.

Ethiopia Opens Its Retail Market as Carrefour Prepares Market Entry

Oscar A. Nchaso Bekari, founder and CEO of Dreams Hub, visited the Equatorial Guinea stand while presenting his latest book, Niños Completos y Adultos Rotos , co written with his wife Jeannette. The work reflects on education, family structures and the long term consequences of neglected values, placing human development at the center of national progress.

But the message of Dreams Hub at FITUR extended far beyond literature. Works created within its ecosystem drew attention for their originality and intent. Eco entrepreneurs transformed recycled cardboard into detailed artistic pieces depicting protected animals, native flora and emblematic tourist sites, merging environmental awareness with cultural expression.

Each artwork functioned as a visual manifesto. Innovation met sustainability, and identity met responsibility. Together, they reflected Equatorial Guinea’s blue and green economy aspirations, where environmental preservation and creative industries reinforce one another rather than compete.

Cultural promoters linked to initiatives such as Fericulge demonstrated how waste materials can be reimagined into meaningful art, offering a model of tourism that values conservation, storytelling and local talent. In a fair often dominated by large scale infrastructure narratives, these pieces stood out for their intimacy and purpose.

The Equatorial Guinea stand, supported by national tourism actors and travel operators such as Rumbo Malabo, served as a meeting point between tradition and modern ambition. It projected the country not only as a destination, but as a creative space where entrepreneurship and culture are deeply intertwined.

For Dreams Hub, FITUR was not simply an international showcase. It was a statement of vision. By placing art, sustainability and entrepreneurship on the same stage, the organization reaffirmed its belief that development is most powerful when it is human centered, culturally grounded and environmentally conscious.

In a global tourism landscape searching for authenticity, Equatorial Guinea’s message through Dreams Hub was clear: the future is built not only with places to visit, but with stories worth carrying forward.
