The Minister of Planning and Economic Diversification, Monday, organized a coordination meeting with the Dreams Hub team to address various issues related to possible collaborations in the field of New Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

The Minister, who recognised Dreams Hub as a leading actor in the tech ecosystem, spoke about the plans and projects of the Ministry of planning and economic diversification, in order to achieve the objectives of the national strategy for sustainable development. During the meeting, His Excellency, Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima stated how the digital economy is a priority and most important in order to achieve the country’s economic growth; It is, for this reason, that it intends to collaborate with all the actors in this sector.

Dreams Hub (AfriLabs member) is a technology, research and innovation center, focused on entrepreneurship that strategically equips, incubates and/or connects people and their ideas, startups, with support networks to turn their dreams into successful realities.

Its Founder and Executive Director, Mr. Oscar A. Nchaso Bekari, accompanied by Ivan Bita Dougan and Amor Nchaso, Managing Director and Programs & Projects Director, respectively, thanked the Honourable Minister for the opportunity to collaborate, while congratulating the inventiveness of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Diversification. He also explained to the Minister the initiatives being carried out at Dreams Hub, highlighting the Hub’s business school (www2.autoclax.com) and their incubator, La Capsula, as part of the phase one in building a digital and innovation ecosystem paving the way for the digital transformation; which will require massive capacity building in different and strategic areas.
Concrete actions are expected to accompany the strategic planning with the collaboration of all the key actors within the ecosystem from both the public and private sectors.
