Seychelles’ Foresters win Presidents Cup for historic tenth time

Foresters of Mont Fleuri have been crowned Seychelles Presidents Cup champions for the tenth time after defeating PTL Bazar Brothers of Pointe Larue 3–0 in an entertaining final at Stad Linite.

The highly anticipated 90-minute contest saw both teams create scoring opportunities, but Foresters eventually took control of the match. Brandon Labrosse opened the scoring to give Mont Fleuri the lead before Imra doubled the advantage. Labrosse then found the back of the net for a second time, completing his brace and sealing a convincing 3–0 victory for Foresters.

PTL Bazar Brothers were presented with their runners-up medals after the final in recognition of their performance throughout the competition.

The victory marks a major milestone for Foresters, with the Mont Fleuri club securing the Presidents Cup for the tenth time, further cementing its place in the history of Seychelles football.

Seychelles President Dr Patrick Herminie, who also serves as Patron of the Seychelles Football Federation, attended the final and presented the Presidents Cup to the winning team following the final whistle.

The occasion brought together players, supporters, football officials and government representatives to celebrate the competition and the continued development of football in Seychelles. Vice-President Sébastien Pillay, Youth and Sports Minister Kalsey Belle, Seychelles Football Federation Chairman Elvis Chetty, club managers and other invited guests were also present at Stad Linite.

Foresters’ tenth Presidents Cup title adds another memorable chapter to the club’s history and concludes the competition with a decisive victory that underlines its enduring position in Seychelles football.
