Moov Africa Burkina has begun construction of a new headquarters in Ouagadougou, marking a significant step in the company’s evolution as one of Burkina Faso’s leading telecommunications operators. The foundation stone was laid on February 3 at the Commercial and Administrative Activities Zone (ZACA) during a ceremony led by Dr. Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, Minister of Digital Transition, Postal and Electronic Communications, representing the Prime Minister.

The headquarters will be built on a 7,000-square-metre plot and rise to five floors, with the option to extend to seven. The project represents an investment of 9 billion CFA francs and reflects national directives encouraging major companies to establish permanent, locally anchored headquarters.

Company officials described the project as a strategic hub for operations and innovation, designed to support Moov Africa Burkina’s adaptation to a rapidly evolving digital environment while improving coordination and service delivery.

Government representatives welcomed the development as evidence of Burkina Faso’s commitment to modernization, digital sovereignty, and sustainable growth. Telecommunications operators, including Moov Africa Burkina, have played a central role in public initiatives to expand connectivity and support major national infrastructure programs.

Authorities also reiterated legal requirements for companies to formalize local headquarters through registration with ONATEL SA, a measure intended to strengthen economic governance and social development.

The new headquarters is expected to reinforce Moov Africa Burkina’s position in the national telecommunications sector, while symbolizing long-term corporate confidence in Burkina Faso’s digital future.
