Africa will once again take center stage in the global economic arena with the 11th edition of The Africa Debate, set to take place on 2 July 2025 at the historic Guildhall in London. Organized by Invest Africa in partnership with the UK Government, the event will convene over 500 high-level African and global leaders to discuss the continent’s economic future under the theme: “Leveraging Natural Capital for Growth.”

Recognized as the UK’s leading forum for strategic dialogue on Africa, The Africa Debate 2025 will highlight how African nations are transforming their vast natural resources, biodiversity, and human capital into engines of industrialization, innovation, and sustainable development. The agenda will focus on how African countries are charting their own paths toward inclusive and resilient growth, strengthening regional value chains, and positioning themselves as key players in the global economy.

“Africa plays a vital role in shaping the future of the global economy,” stated Lord Collins of Highbury, UK Minister for Africa. “Our partnership with Africa aims to support that leadership vision, backing transformative green growth and fostering relationships that prioritize mutual benefit.”

Chantelé Carrington, CEO of Invest Africa, emphasized the determination of African governments and businesses to drive development models rooted in value addition and sustainability. “The Africa Debate 2025 reflects the continent’s dynamism. Africa is rich not only in resources but in talent, vision, and ambition. This event serves as a platform to amplify that voice and align its priorities with strategic global investment,” she said.

The forum will feature keynote addresses from African heads of state, ministers, and private sector leaders, alongside sessions focused on digital innovation, sustainable finance, and industrialization. The Africa Debate 2025 reaffirms Africa’s role as the architect of its own development and a key contributor to global solutions through an African-led lens.
