Equatorial Guinea will resume its participation in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025, which will be held from January 22 to 26 at IFEMA Madrid, after an absence of nearly seven years. The Secretary of State for Tourism, Nuria Epesi Beholi, has led meetings with the delegation tasked with representing the country at this prominent international event.

The objective is to showcase Equatorial Guinea’s tourism potential through the design of a national stand that will include cultural and scenic exhibitions, among other features. FITUR, in its 45th edition, will bring together 9,500 companies from 156 countries, solidifying its position as a key platform for tourism professionals. This year, Brazil will be the Partner Country, highlighting its diverse tourism offerings.

The fair will focus on promoting destinations, launching new products and services, and creating business opportunities. Among the highlighted thematic areas are FITURTECHY, centered on technology and innovation, and FITURGREEN, which promotes sustainability.

The hours for FITUR 2025 will be from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for professionals from January 22 to 24, and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the general public on January 25, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on January 26. Equatorial Guinea’s participation in this event represents a significant opportunity to showcase its cultural and natural wealth, fostering tourism interest and investments in the country.
