CIT VERICASH has been named Best Digital Financial Services Platform 2026 by Global Business Outlook, adding another international recognition to the company’s growing list of industry awards as financial institutions across Africa accelerate their digital transformation.

The award recognizes CIT VERICASH, a fintech enablement platform serving banks and financial institutions across Africa, for its role in supporting the expansion of digital banking and financial services at institutional scale.

The latest recognition follows three awards received by the company in 2025: Best Digital Transformation Platform, Fintech Strategic Partner of the Year and Best Financial Services Platform Africa.

CIT VERICASH’s platform is currently deployed across approximately 25 African markets. One major deployment supports the digital banking operations of a pan-African banking group operating in 22 countries, processing more than 500 transactions per second, more than 30 million digital services each day and serving more than 7 million active subscribers.

The company says the deployment has produced significant growth during its first five years of full digital platform operations, including a fivefold increase in digital subscribers, tenfold growth in monthly transactions and a 30-fold increase in monthly financial transaction value.

At the center of the company’s offering is the VERICASH Fintech Enablement Platform, an integrated digital financial services ecosystem designed for commercial banks, digital banks, microfinance institutions, mobile money operators and fintech companies.

The platform enables institutions to deploy and manage services including digital banking, agency banking, mobile wallets, payment ecosystems and lending through a centralized environment. Its low-code and no-code service builder is designed to reduce complexity and shorten the time required to bring new financial products to market.

CIT VERICASH is a division of CIT GLOBAL, which has more than three decades of systems integration and software experience dating back to its founding in Toronto in 1993. The company says its technology has been delivered to clients in more than 50 countries.

Global Business Outlook highlighted the platform’s ability to operate across different regulatory environments and at institutional scale, an increasingly important consideration as financial institutions seek to expand digital services across Africa’s fragmented markets.

Beyond technology deployment, CIT VERICASH operates through what it describes as a Strategic Partnership Model. The approach combines the technology platform with operational monitoring, Centres of Excellence, continuous optimization, business intelligence, performance analytics, application support and fraud monitoring.

The company also works with financial institutions on business models, licensing requirements, operational teams, financial projections and go-to-market strategies for new digital financial services.

Its partnerships include an alliance with Bluechip Technologies in East Africa, focused on agency banking, digital payments and mobile wallets, as well as a decade-long partnership with CWG PLC in West Africa supporting large-scale financial ecosystems.

Artificial intelligence is also becoming a central component of CIT VERICASH’s technology strategy. The company says AI capabilities are being incorporated across retail, SME and corporate banking, including personalized customer experiences, automated credit scoring, real-time transaction risk assessment and proactive fraud prevention.

The latest award comes as digital financial services continue to expand across sub-Saharan Africa, increasing demand for platforms capable of supporting large transaction volumes while allowing banks, fintechs and other financial institutions to introduce new services more rapidly.

For CIT VERICASH, the recognition adds to a pattern of industry awards that the company says reflects its focus on building scalable digital financial infrastructure for African markets.
