The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), through its Regional Office for Central Africa (REPAC), is launching the Environmental Innovation Acceleration Program in Equatorial Guinea, in partnership with Dreams Hub as the implementing agency, and with technical support from Kosala. The initiative targets youth and women with sustainable ideas or projects for environmental protection.

This program is part of the Acceleration Project for the Development of Environmental Technologies or Innovations Led by Women and Youth in the Congo Basin, one of the most strategically important ecological regions on the planet. Known as the world’s second green lung after the Amazon, the Congo Basin hosts the second-largest tropical rainforest on Earth. It absorbs billions of tons of carbon dioxide and preserves a unique biodiversity. Protecting it is essential to fighting climate change and safeguarding global environmental health.

Applications are open from June 15 to June 30, 2025, until 11:59 PM, and can be submitted through the Gelanza platform: www.udreamers.com/gelanza. The official launch ceremony of the program will take place on June 21, 2025. Interested individuals can request more information at Dreams Hub’s offices, located in Elá Nguema, in front of Argentina School, or through the organization’s communication channels.

The initiative is open to women and youth under the age of 35 residing in Equatorial Guinea, who lead or co-found environmentally focused projects with a technological or social impact. Selected participants will benefit from specialized training, personalized mentorship, funding opportunities, national and international visibility, and access to a regional green innovation network.

In the 2025 edition of the OIF project, Equatorial Guinea is represented by three selected organizations — Dreams Hub, ITA Agro, and the Agricultural Training School (ECA) — leading key initiatives in ecological innovation, sustainable agriculture, and youth education.
