Honestly, as a sports super fan its so much fun to watch athletes from different sports gush over each other meeting for a first time. Here are two of sports greats meeting and instantly acknowledging each others greatness and sharing their delight at meeting through posting on their respective social media handles. As an African i feel great pride in the achievements of Francis Ngannou, representing the continent in a sports once dominated by Europeans and South Americans.

Ronaldo is now playing out in Saudi having signed for Al-Nassr. While Ngannou is currently a fighting free agent after being stripped of his belt this week as the company accepted he was out of contract and moving on from their relationship.

At present, Ngannou is still recovering from injury after undergoing surgery to repair the ACL and MCL in his right knee last year.

He is planning to return to action this summer, but currently enjoying holiday time away from the sport.
