Africanian News takes a decisive step in its commitment to journalistic excellence and professional development by launching Africanian Learnings, its new specialized training initiative. The program kicks off with an intensive journalism course developed in collaboration with AhoraEG, the exclusive partner for this inaugural edition, guiding journalists through their professional growth in the field.

In an environment where journalism faces unprecedented challenges due to digitalization and the rise of artificial intelligence, this pioneering project aims to equip the next generation of communicators to operate confidently in international media settings, taking ownership of their narratives.

São Tomé and Príncipe records 1,293 Malaria cases and zero deaths in Q1 2025

The program, designed for the era of global journalism, is structured around three key pillars:

  • Strategic use of Artificial Intelligence in digital newsrooms, with direct applications in research, fact-checking, and editing.
  • Production of reports meeting international standards, incorporating narrative approaches and high-quality multimedia resources.
  • Advanced writing techniques and audience adaptation, blending precision, style, and digital appeal.

From the classroom to global newsrooms.
Beyond theory, the course ensures hands-on field experience, with the best work published on AhoraEG (Spanish version) and Africanian News (English translations), guaranteeing visibility both locally and across continental and international audiences, while maintaining journalists’ authorship.

Through strategic partnerships with CGTN, APO Group, and Ecofin, and integration into the AfriLabs network, Africanian News establishes a bridge between Equatorial Guinea and the global media stage. The creation of Africanian Learnings marks a milestone for the platform under the motto: from Africa, by Africans, for Africans and friends of Africa, inaugurating a new era of training and professionalization in the sector.

The inaugural program will take place at the Dreams Hub Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center (Ela Nguema, Malabo), reaffirming the commitment to foster local talent with global impact.
