Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, Meta has announced the launching of WhatsApp Cloud API for businesses. He said the WhatsApp Cloud API will “allow businesses and developers to build on top of WhatsApp to customize their experience and respond to customers quickly and easily.”

Speaking during the presentation, he explained the objectives and gains of this new feature designed expressly for business Users. The Cloud API is compatible for business of all sizes size around the world. This will allow businesses and developers to build on top of WhatsApp to customize their experiences and respond to customers quickly and easily. Further adding that the best business experiences meet people where they are and that’s WhatsApp.

WhatsApp has two versions: the normal WhatsApp and Business WhatsApp. Business WhatsApp is specifically built for businesses with feature that will enable advertise, sell their products and services and offer efficient customer care services to their clients.
API, which stands for Applications Programming Interface is a software that enables two applications to interact with each other. With WhatsApp Cloud API, businesses can integrate third-party apps such payment gateways, robo-advising, e-store etc.
