Mr. Benjamín Evita Oma, President of the Equatorial Guinea Business Consortium and Vice President of the ECCAS Chambers of Commerce, responsible for Cooperation and Resource Mobilization, visited Dreams Hub this morning. He met with Executive Director Óscar Nchaso to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. The conversation focused on expanding opportunities for youth and women entrepreneurs and improving access to regional markets. Both leaders highlighted the importance of practical training and strategic partnerships. The visit reflects a growing commitment to empowering local businesses and fostering sustainable economic growth.

During the meeting, Dreams Hub presented the program “Capacity Building in Trade in Services under the AfCFTA Framework.” The initiative is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Centre in collaboration with the ECCAS Commission. Its goal is to strengthen the export capacity of service-sector SMEs across Central Africa. Through training, mentorship, and access to regional networks, the program aims to prepare businesses for greater participation in international markets. The initiative also promotes innovation and competitiveness among emerging entrepreneurs.
The program will select ten SMEs per country in Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, and Equatorial Guinea. Priority will be given to companies led by young entrepreneurs and women in sectors such as logistics, transport, technology, and tourism. Thanks to the collaboration between Mr. Benjamín Evita Oma and Dreams Hub, companies in Equatorial Guinea have received an extension to submit their applications. The new deadline is March 20, 2026. This extension offers local entrepreneurs additional time to take advantage of this regional opportunity.

By building stronger connections between institutions and entrepreneurs, the initiative seeks to expand opportunities for local SMEs. Dreams Hub continues to position itself as a platform for innovation, leadership, and economic collaboration. The partnership is expected to contribute to a more competitive and resilient business environment in Equatorial Guinea.
